Cosmetic & General Dentist in Cape Town

Visiting the dentist is something no one looks forward to but Optismile goes the extra mile to make the experience as pleasant, painless and comfortable as possible. I've never been someone to keep regular appointments; however, Optismile has made it so easy—reminders, friendly staff members—the entire experience, from walking in to walking out is excellent. Now to praise a single staff member: Aaqilah is amazing. You can see she has a passion for what she does, she's always friendly, always caring, ensures you understand exactly why you are there and what she needs to do and follows up multiple times during a procedure to make sure you are comfortable and in as little pain as possible. I never review companies; however, it would be irresponsible to let an experience at Optismile go without a review. 6 stars if I could.

There is a reason this team has such a high rating. When I think of OptiSmile, the saying “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts” comes to mind. We tend to notice quickly when something goes wrong, yet when everything works well, it can be easy to overlook just how many things have come together to make that possible. Dr Harris's support throughout my Invisalign journey reflects exactly that combination of professionalism and genuine human connection. What stands out is how seamlessly the whole practice works around that relationship, from the moment you walk through the door, to the moment your journey is complete. There is an ease to the experience that could make it easy to miss just how well the machinery behind it is running. My sincere appreciation to Dr Harris and the entire OptiSmile team for making the whole experience such a positive one.

Invisalign worked excellently for me and I’m very happy with the results! Dr Harris and Dr Cara are lovely people and make a wonderful team! I’m very happy with my new smile and how professionally I was treated. I would highly recommend them!

Such amazing service

I have fluorosis, so whitening my teeth is a longer, more delicate process than usual. Dr Cara walked me through exactly the right steps and made the whole thing feel manageable. It’s also really convenient to have WhatsApp access to your doctor. I’m really happy with the results and almost all the stains from fluorosis are completely gone. The entire team was warm, knowledgeable, and professional. I'd recommend them to anyone.

He is very nice and careful Dentist

Needed the abutment for my implant screwed back in urgently and received first class service from the team here. Easily the finest dentist surgery I have ever utilized, from quality of service, facilities, to the friendly staff. I highly recommend their service and will come back again for addition work if in Cape Town.

Improving my smile has genuinely been one of the best investments I’ve ever made. It’s amazing how much of a difference it can make to your confidence and how you feel about yourself every day. For me, it’s been a life-changing experience. The team at OptiSmile have been incredible throughout the entire process - professional, friendly and extremely attentive to detail. You can tell they genuinely care about achieving the best possible result. I couldn’t be happier with my new smile. If you’ve been thinking about improving yours, I can honestly say it’s an investment in yourself that’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend OptiSmile!

Un grand merci à toute l'équipe d'avoir pu me trouver rapidement un rendez-vous et d'avoir réussi à régler mon problème. Cabinet très humain et professionnel et ma dentiste était une magicienne!

From start to finish, the service, care and professionalism shown by every single person who works at Optismile were flawless. I felt in the best of hands and cannot recommend the team highly enough.

After struggling for a long time with constant headaches and health issues from a very complex root canal case Dr. Ruan and Dr. Cara were the only ones who actually pinpointed and solved the problem. Something several other top-rated dentists missed. Opti Smile’s professionalism, care and attention to detail are truly in the top 1% of world-class dentistry. I cannot thank them enough. They aren't just for cosmetic procedures they excel at complex medical cases and genuinely go above and beyond to ensure your overall health comes first. I am so deeply grateful for practitioners like Ruan and Cara.

Dr Clifford and the entire OptiSmile team are incredible. From initial consultation through to the amazing final results, the team were professional, friendly, caring, passionate and have such amazing attention to detail. They transformed my smile and gave me back so much confidence in myself. I went in for composite bonding and Dr Clifford went over and above to provide me with injection moulding which surpassed all expectations. I couldn't be happier and can't stop smiling. I also love that they use the latest tech to ensure that you are getting the best results and best treatment. Thank you Dr Clifford and team!

Amazing service! I have never been happier with my teeth.

My wife Portia and I have been received as new patients today, thorrow inspection including 3D X-Ray and scan, detailed personal inspection and advice by the dentist and a very well done cleaning. I have never even in Germany been treated so well with so much attention like at Optismile. The view onto the ocean from the treatment chair was stunning. Highly recommended!

Professional team!

I had both the Injection Moulded Composite Bonding and Optisleep mandibular Advancement Device done for me. This was of the most amazing thing I have done for me to have the perfect teeth and on top got my snoring under control. It was most professional, friendly and caring the way it was done. Dr Clifford is an absolute star the way he has done it. I can only recommend it to anyone. Thank you to the entire practice 👏

I was very impressed with Optismile in general and will definitely give them five stars. The whole approach from reception to dentistry is very professional and efficient. The work that was conducted was excellent and to my satisfaction and the friendliness and service from the particular Dentist who assisted me, Dr Juanette Du Toit, is certainly appreciated. I would recommend the dentistry and this particular dentist.

Fantastic, friendly staff that genuinely care about your wellbeing. I felt very well taken care of and the dentist did a fantastic job!

Highly recommend this practice! Dr. Clifford and the entire team were incredibly friendly, informative, professional, patient, and so much more. My older sibling recommended this practice to me and said it was even better than the dental offices we visit in the U.S., as we are visitors to CPT. She was absolutely right! This has become my favorite dental practice, and with my frequent visits to CPT, it will definitely be my go to office moving forward. Dr. Clifford carefully reviewed everything that had been explained to me by my U.S. dental provider and quickly recognized that I was being recommended treatment that were not needed and that they were trying to take advantage of me. The technology at OptiSmiles is far more advanced than what I have experienced at many dental practices in the States. Communication is also excellent! You’ll receive responses quickly, and the team is always willing to help. I have complete confidence in OptiSmiles and highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, high-quality dental care. They are not focused on upselling services or taking your money. Instead, they genuinely care about your dental health, your smile, and providing the best care possible.

An exceptional experience from start to finish. My journey was a year long & covered replacing old fillings on numerous teeth, Invisalign, cleaning, crowns & injection moulding for that perfect smile. Dr Clifford & Dr Harris are two gentlemen that take the utmost pride in their jobs & attention to detail is key for them. No amount of time spent with them is too long & they never rush you, they answer the same questions over & over with clarity. They make you feel comfortable & that your journey matters, you are not just another client. All the staff are so in sync & as you move from one step to the next all are ready for you. The detailed reports you receive, the reminders for appointments, their equipment & programs used along with the friendliness of all make this journey a pleasant one for a process that usually is not. I can only highly recommend this practice for ALL your dental needs & thank all involved for the exceptional treatment & service!

I had an excellent experience at OptiSmile. My appointment with Aaqilah , the hygienist, was outstanding. She took the time to listen to my concerns and carefully explained every step of the process, which immediately put me at ease. OptiSmile’s new Swiss-made AIRFLOW machine made the cleaning experience remarkably gentle and comfortable. I walked out with a huge smile and noticeably cleaner teeth. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a modern, professional, and genuinely caring dental experience.

Very professional and welcoming. I felt like I was in safe hands. My treatment options were explained fully and I feel confident that I will receive the best possible care. So pleased to have found OptiSmile.

Treatment and results: 10/10 Environment: 10/10 Technology and facilities: 10/10 Without a doubt the kindest, most caring team I have ever been to. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and supported. They take the time to answer every question thoroughly and make sure you feel completely comfortable throughout the process. The positive energy in this place is incredible. The people around you genuinely lift you up, and you leave feeling better than when you arrived. I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. ❤️

My husband and I have both had top notch experiences with what could have been very complicated dental issues. After another dentist cracked his tooth, my husband received exceptional care from Dr Jaco, who fitted an implant that should last him a lifetime. Dr Yudelman is incredibly passionate about what he does. Seeing him is actually a treat. Dr Cara did an amazing job treating my severe teeth grinding with Botox. All the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I really cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

Fabulous experience with Dr Ruan and the Optismile team. Dr Ruan is calm, very professional, and very talented. My treatment went smoothly and provided excellent results, beyond expectation. I fully recommend Optismile.
